Dr. Jones-Poland and Nurse Practitioners Sheri Wysocki and Nina Kumar provide primary care physician services to adults and children 6 years and older. Primary care includes: treating illness, injury and chronic diseases, providing preventive medicine services, coordinating our patient's care with specialists and much more. When a health problem presents itself, you should see your primary care physician first. She will refer you to a specialist when necessary.

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

Preventive medicine services are very important to maintaining good health. We emphasize the importance of preventive medicine in our practice because potentially fatal diseases can be identified in their early stages and effectively treated. In our office, we provide complete physicals (including work, school and pre-op physicals), paps, breast exams, colon cancer screening, prostate exams, flu and pneumonia vaccines, and many other services. We routinely refer our patients for mammograms, bone density tests, colonoscopies, cholesterol and diabetes screening, and any other tests that are useful in the early detection of disease. INSURANCE CONTRACTS

We have contracted with a number of government and private insurance plans, in addition to our HMO contracts. We participate with Medicare, Tricare, Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield of all the 50 states, United Healthcare, and dozens of other PPO plans including Aetna, Health Net, Pacificare, Cigna, Keenan and Associates, UFCW, and many more. We also have PPO network contracts including but not limited to First Health, Multiplan, Beech Street and PHCS. If you have an insurance that is not specifically mentioned here, and you would like to know whether or not we are a participating provider with that insurance carrier, you are welcome to fax us (or e-mail us) a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and we will contact the insurance for you. MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage has become an affordable treatment option for many illnesses. We are very pleased to be able to offer massage therapy to our patients. The indications for massage therapy are almost limitless but some of the more common conditions that can be successfully treated are: neck and back pain, muscle spasm, fibromyalgia, migraine, carpal tunnel syndrome, anxiety and depression. Massage therapy also decreases blood pressure, improves posture and circulation and can ease medication dependence. Some private insurances do cover massage therapy for certain medical conditions. A prescription from one of our providers is required to bill insurance for massage therapy.
